After a pulsating 2-2 draw with Chelsea on Wednesday night, Arsenal fans have demanded that Jack Wilshere immediately be handed the captain’s armband.
Wilshere opened the scoring against Antonio Conte’s men 63 minutes in and showed passion, commitment and leadership throughout.
The England international was seen commanding his team-mates and organising his defenders.
Many thought Wilshere’s Arsenal career was over when the 26 year-old sealed a loan move to Bournemouth last season. This fear appeared to be heading towards reality when he fractured his leg in April to rule him out of action for six months.
However, Wilshere has bounced back once more. After being limited to Europa League and domestic cup appearances, the playmaker is now enjoying his football in Arsene Wenger’s Premier League side.
He’s now played the full 90 minutes in Arsenal’s last four matches and, undoubtedly, been Wenger’s stand out player.
Gooners are now demanding the Englishman be made Gunners captain…

Arsenal 2-2 Chelsea. What a game this was! We played so well that I couldn't handle a loss. Thankfully Bellerin equalized with a beautiful goal. I guess a draw was a fair result. I've spoken enough about Wilshere. Just make him captain already!

Jack Wilshere, MY Captain.

Jack Wilshere has to be Arsenal and England captain! If he had fulfilled his back potential back in 2011? England would have had a STAR on their hands. Swear down!
