Jack Wilshere is in line to return to the Arsenal first-team after being declared fit again.
The midfielder who suffered from a broken leg whilst on loan at Bournemouth in April could feature in Arsenal’s opening Europa League group game with Cologne.
Arsene Wenger is expected to name a second string XI for Thursday’s encounter, which could include Wilshere. The 25 year-old hasn’t featured for Arsenal’s first-team since the season before last.
Wilshere made the headlines recently after brawling with Manchester City players in an under-23 match.
Arsene Wenger said on Saturday that the playmaker was nearing a full recovery. And the Daily Mail claim the Frenchman could also start Alexis Sanchez after the Chilean was demoted to the bench for Arsenal’s 3-0 win over Bournemouth.
Upon hearing the news of his return to full-fitness, Arsenal fans took to Twitter to share their excitement…
