Arsenal fans fear the worst with Wilshere

Wilshere will leave Arsenal at the end of June.

Arsenal fans are holding their breath after Jack Wilshere hobbled off during their goalless draw with Chelsea on Wednesday.

It’s stalemate going into the second-leg of their Carabao Cup tie. Arsenal showed a resilience and togetherness which was so absent during their 4-2 defeat to Nottingham Forest last weekend.

One player who fittingly lead by example was Wilshere, though unfortunately the stand-in Arsenal captain suffered an injury to his ankle and was forced off.

It’s another injury to the 26 year-old who has been desperately unlucky over the course of his career. The midfielder most recently returned from a broken leg in September, but has been one of Arsenal’s best performers since his return to the side.

Thankfully, Arsene Wenger has claimed the problem is not serious, but Arsenal fans are more inclined to fear the worst.
