Arsenal suffered a disappointing defeat away to Rennes in their first leg of their Europa League tie.
The Gunners went down 3-1 to the French side who currently sit 10th in Ligue 1.
A good start from Arsenal quickly unravelled when Sokratis Papastathopolous saw red for a second yellow and Rennes bulldozed their way into a commanding lead ahead of the second leg at the Emirates.
An own goal rom Nacho Monreal after the restart and a late Ismaila Sarr header saw the French side clinch an impressive victory.
Monreal’s OG wasn’t the last of his struggles either, as the Spaniard gave the ball away in the build-up to Rennes’ third goal.
And Gunners fans couldn’t help but notice when Monreal after that loss of possession.

While some were drawn to Matteo Guendouzi’s rather slow attempts at tracking back, Monreal had actually lost the ball and reacted by petulantly throwing his arms into the air and turning away.
It’s fair to say many lashed out on the Spanish international on Twitter…
Can someone please explain to me 2-1 isn’t the end of the world why in the 89th minute is Monreal on the edge of their box unbelievable

Players are not continuing with play or their responsibilities, first Monreal and then Guendouzi on that 3rd goal.
