Jose Mourinho has been appointed manager of Tottenham Hotspur.

The three-time Premier League winner has replaced Mauricio Pochettino at White Hart Lane following a struggling start to the season for Sp*rs.

The Argentine failed to win a trophy in his five years in charge of the north London club with Spurs’ last silverware being the League Cup in 2008.

Mourinho had been tipped to replace Unai Emery

Arsenal’s neighbours are currently enduring an even more dismal start to the league than Emery’s side, with Sp*rs a lowly 14th after 12 games.

The appointment of Mourinho has put an end speculation that the ex-Manchester United boss could replace Unai Emery at The Emirates.

Mourinho, 56, has signed a contract until the end of the 2022-23 season. He’s been out of work since being sacked by Manchester United in December 2018.

Gooners are still calling for a new manager, but it’s fair to say they are indifferent about Mourinho joining Tottenham…
