So, there you have it, Joel Campbell has done what so many footballers do nowadays and confirmed the news of a transfer before their club’s official accounts have done so.

The news of Campbell’s departure – which I think we all accept basically signals the beginning of the end for the Costa Rican at the Emirates – will not please parts of the Arsenal faithful, with the feeling that Le Professeur never really gave the former Olympiacos loanee a fair crack of the whip.
Campbell made four sub appearances in the Premier League this season plus three appearances in the Champions League.
Good luck @joel_campbell12 🙂

Joel Campbell going on loan to Villareal, with his goals they’d guarantee top 4. Providing Uche and Vietto stay!

Joel Campbell’s loan move to Villarreal will be good for him, he’s a good young player & he’s not getting enough game time at Arsenal. #AFC
