Theo Walcott £20m move to Everton has seen him end a 12 year stint at the Emirates.
The England international says he wants to reignite his career and win things under new boss Sam Allardyce.
Walcott failed to figure into Arsene Wenger’s plans this season following the arrival of Alexandre Lacazette and the newly adopted 3-4-3 formation.
The winger, who was also sought after by former club Southampton, has not started a Premier League game since April last year.
It’s a move that has shaken many Arsenal fans who are saying goodbye to the last of a generation. Walcott had been the Gunners’ longest serving player, but that mantle has now fallen to Aaron Ramsey who arrived nearly 10 years ago.
Despite his critics, Walcott scored over 100 goals in nearly 400 appearances for the north Londoners. And Arsenal fans have been sending their tributes to the 29 year-old throughout the day.
Take a look at what they had to say on Twitter…
Don't think I've ever wanted an Arsenal player to do so well after leaving than I do now with Walcott. Great guy.

How can anyone hate on Theo Walcott. The bloke who made all them Spurs fans look like absolute deranged mongrels whilst coming off the pitch on a stretcher as they headed out the FA Cup. Beautiful. Priceless. Farewell Theo. pic.twitter.com/Q1PtA98svN

Thank you & best of luck to Francis Coquelin & Theo Walcott after many years of service.

I'm in tears man. I can't believe Theo Walcott is gone. Such a loyal servant. Sorry for the harsh words I said a while back when you missed clear cut chances, it was all part of the game.

So it’s farewell to Theo Walcott. Omnipresent throughout the Banter Era, and a nagging feeling of unfulfilled promise, but 100+ goals in the Famous Red & White cannot be ignored.
All the best
It needed to happen, but it’s actually sad watching Walcott’s highlights video. Nearing the end of an era. One day (soon) the official account will post a Wenger highlights clip. That’s going to be deep.
