Arsenal fans didn’t hesitate to take a jibe at their bitter rivals following their 2-0 win over Tottenham.
Much of the talk in the build-up to the game at the Emirates was about a supposed power shift from the Gunners to Mauricio Pochettino’s men from down the road.
Spurs, who last season finished above Arsenal for the first time in over 20 years are also ahead of Arsene Wenger’s side this season.
However, Arsenal silenced their critics with an emphatic performance. Shkodran Mustafi gave the Gunners the lead with a fine header with half an hour played and Alexis Sanchez doubled the lead shortly before half-time.
The Gunners sit just a point behind Tottenham after 12 games played. The win was critical for Arsenal fans who wanted the club to reaffirm their status above their bitter rivals.
And Gooners certainly didn’t waste their opportunity to troll Spurs fans about claims there’s been a ‘power shift’.
