Arsenal fans should be optimistic for the rest of the season now that their top end trio are together, at last.

Alexis Sanchez, Mesut Ozil and Alexandre Lacazette were outstanding on the weekend as they all made or scored a goal in the 2-0 North London derby win over Tottenham.

The trio have nine goals and six assists between them so far, which is slightly underwhelming. However, it should be noted that Arsene Wenger has only started all three together four times this season.

Both Sanchez and Ozil were on fire against Spurs. The pair who look set to leave the club at the end of the season, or even in January, showed the commitment and desire Arsenal fans have been craving for months.

Meanwhile Lacazette is already looking like the prolific striker Arsenal have been craving. Only better times are ahead as he continues to adapt to the Premier League.

With Arsene Wenger’s track record of being hesitant to deploy the trifecta in which Gooners have nicknamed “AOL”, supporters will also be sceptical about over getting behind the trio.

Though, surely even Wenger knows they are his best chance of success this season?
