Arsenal have been relatively quiet on the transfer front in recent weeks with potential incoming deals but there could well be further pieces of business before the end of the month, although they may not all be big-name signings.

The Telegraph reports that Manchester City starlet Jadon Sancho is increasingly likely to leave this summer after failing to turn up to training numerous times in recent weeks, which improves Arsenal’s chances of completing a deal.

Arsenal, along with Borussia Dortmund, RB Leipzig and Tottenham Hotspur, are all keen on the 17-year-old but Manchester City are desperate to keep him. Despite that, the teenager is eyeing an exit as he’s not convinced of his chances of forcing his way into the first-team.

The talented winger has the likes of Leroy Sane, Raheem Sterling and Bernardo Silva ahead of him in the pecking-order at the Etihad Stadium and a passage to the first-team may be easier to secure in North London, which is shown by Alex Iwobi’s rise to prominence in recent years.

Clubs abroad would have to pay a compensation amount of just £200k to sign Sancho, whereas Premier League sides would have a fee set by a tribunal- which is likely to be a significantly higher amount.
