Arsenal joined by duo to sign Premier League winner

Jose Mourinho is interested in signing Jonny Evans this summer, reports say.

The Northern Irishman has been a target for Arsene wEgner’s sidde for some time. Arsenal failed with a £12m bid for the West Brom captain in January with the Baggies asking for a figure close to £20m.

The Metro say a number of Premier League clubs are continuing to monitor Evans’ situation at the Hawthorns with the Baggies destined for relegation under Alan Pardew.

Manchester City expressed interest in securing his services last summer, but no official bid was.

And now it appears neighbours Manchester United are keen on buying him back this summer.

The 30-year-old started his career at Old Trafford, breaking into the first-team in 2006 and going on to play almost 200 games for the club. Nine years on, three Premier League titles later he was sold for just £5.4m to West Brom .

Jose Mourinho is set to oversee a summer overhaul and is believed to be ready to sell a number of current players following the shock Champions League defeat to Sevilla.
