Former Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has admitted he doesn’t know whether he’ll return to football as a manager.
The Gunners legend who spent 22 years at the helm of the club has been out of a role since leaving in May 2018.
Wenger has been linked with a host of top jobs since leaving Arsenal a year ago and says he is now ready to return to football, though not necessarily as a manager.
The 69-year-old Frenchman told the BBC: “I thought I will come back into management very quickly, but I enjoyed taking a little distance.
Arsene joined the club in August 1996.
“Now I’m at a crossroads.”
He added: “You will see me again in football. As a manager… I don’t know.”
Wenger ended his reign with 7 Fa Cups and 3 Premier League triumphs, including an unparalleled ‘Invincibles’ season which saw his side survive a whole league campaign without losing a game.
The Gunners hero will be cheering on his old side when Arsenal take on Chelsea in the Europa League final in Baku.
The Gunners have sold only half of their 6,000 allocation, whilst Chelsea have only managed to flog 2,000.
