Former Arsenal star Alexis Sanchez has been eating alone in the canteen at Manchester United, according to former Arsenal coach Liam Brady.

Sanchez has endured a difficult start to life at Old Trafford and reports claimed he has concerned Man Utd coaching staff by his continuous isolation and generally miserable demeanour.

The Chile international left Arsenal in January sour circumstances after reported bust-ups with teammates.

Sanchez has scored just once in the Premier League for Jose Mourinho’s side, who crashed out of the Champions League in a shock defeat to Sevilla last week.

And former Gunners midfielder Brady has suggested that his behaviour at Old Trafford is nothing new, though, while he suspects the Chile international may be struggling to settle in a new city.

As reported by the Metro, he said: ‘From the information I have and what I know, Sanchez is not the easiest of characters on a day-to-day basis.’

Sanchez scored 60 league goals in a three-and-a-half year spell at Arsenal

‘He does his own thing and he is not part of the group, but all the other players forgave him for that because when he played for Arsenal he was outstanding in the early part of his career at Arsenal.

‘He was an example to the Arsenal players for how hard you need to work in his early days, but going up to Manchester and being on that kind of wage compared to the other lads, you need to do as you are asked and do what the other players do. He has always been a bit of a solo player.

‘Maybe he has not settled in Manchester. He may be looking around thinking he should not have gone there.’
