Unai Emery is going to have to accept that to improve Arsenal, things may get worse before they get better.

That’s the opinion of former Premier League striker Craig Bellamy.

The Gunners slipped to their first defeat of the season losing 2-0 on the opening day against Man City, but it was the relative easy for Pep Guardiola’s side that is a concern.

The Gunners tried to play out from the back, but too often were picked apart by the champions who were able to exploit space on the flanks.

Emery demands for his side to maintain possession from the backline, but the change in tactics will likely take time for Arsenal to execute properly.

The debut of Matteo Guendouzi was a positive, but generally speaking, the result highlighted the gulf in class between the two sides.

Bellamy reckons Arsenal could get worse
