Arsenal are reportedly considering the appointment of Luis Enrique as their new manager.

The former Barcelona boss has emerged as one of the favourites to replace Unai Emery who is having a torrid time of getting things right so far this season.

A dismal run of form has seen Arsenal take just one win in their last six Premier League outings to leave them eight points off a Champions League place.

Enrique won two La Liga’s and a Champions League with Barcelona

Luis Enrique left the national job in June to look after his daughter Xana, who tragically died of bone cancer at the age of nine just two months later.

According to  El Confidencial , the Spaniard is a candidate to take over at the Emirates if Emery is sacked.

Furthermore, Spanish journalist Kike Marin has indicated on his official Twitter page that there has been contact between enrique and Arsenal’s head of football Raul Sanllehi.

Arsenal have also been eager to deny links with Jose Mourinho already this month.
