Arsenal midfielder Henrikh Mkhitaryan is currently on loan at Roma.
The Armenian, who has expressed a desire to remain in the Italian capital, says Roma have a much better style of play to that of Unai Emery’s Arsenal team.
Mkhitaryan struggled to make an impact during his initial 18 months at Arsenal and was subsequently shipped out last summer.
However, since recovering from injury, the Armenian says he’s been enjoying his football in Serie A.
Mkhitaryan said: “The philosophy of Emery was different from Fonseca, but here I’m feeling much better because we’re playing better football and I think it matched me.
“I prefer Fonseca’s football because we’re playing very offensively, we’re trying to have the ball all the time here and of course I like this kind of game.”
From his 13 Serie A matches, Mkhitaryan has a return of six goals and three assists.
The coronavirus outbreak has put a hold on his spell in Serie A. And if the current climate fails to recover soon, Mkhitaryan may run out of time before his loan period ends on June 30th.
