Brand Finance have announced their annual report on the most valuable and strongest football brands and Arsenal have made the top 10.

The Gunners are aiming to return to Champions League football after two season’s without taking part in Europe’s biggest competition.

Despite not having the attraction of Champions League football, Unai Emery’s side have been named as one of the most valuable brands in football.

It’s carried out by the world’s leading independent brand valuation consultancy and they pride themselves on their independence, transparency, technical credibility, and expertise.

Real Madrid have toppled Manchester United to lead the way. Real are valued at €1.646billion (£1.44bn) after their Champions League triumph last season. United in second have a net worth €1.472billion (£1.29bn).

Barcelona are third in the list with an estimated value of €1.393billion (£1.22bn) while Bayern Munich and Manchester City are ranked fourth and fifth respectively.

1. Real Madrid – 2019 Brand Value = £1.416billion

2. Manchester United – 2019 Brand Value = £1.266billion

3. Barcelona – 2019 Brand Value = £1.198billion

4. Bayern Munich – 2019 Brand Value = £1.130billion

5. Manchester City – 2019 Brand Value = £1.079billion

6. Liverpool – 2019 Brand Value = £1.024billion

7. Chelsea – 2019 Brand Value = £832million

8. Paris Saint-Germain – 2019 Brand Value = £786million

9. Arsenal – 2019 Brand Value = £761million

10. Tottenham Hotspur – 2019 Brand Value = £652million
