It’s a scary thought. Imagine, for some bizarre reason, that a billionaire decided to buy both of England’s biggest clubs, Manchester United and Arsenal, only to merge the two together.
We’d lose some massive derbies each year but the combined financial strength of the two would be seemingly unbeatable- and the team that would be fielded immediately wouldn’t be too bad anyway.
