Carlo Ancelotti was sacked by Napoli earlier this week.

Arsenal are still looking for a new head coach since dismissing Unai Emery and Ancelotti’s sudden availability raised eyebrows.

However, ESPN claim the Gunners are not considering Carlo Ancelotti as a serious candidate to take charge at the club.

The reason being is that the 60-year-old does not fit the profile of the head coach they are looking for and Arsenal are concerned by his recent record.

The Italian was sacked by Bayern Munich last season and now by Napoli after a dreadful run of games without victory (7).

Former Arsenal captain Mike Arteta is still in the running to replace Unai Emery.

Meawnhile, interim boss Freddie Ljungberg is keen to make his temporary position permanent. The club are prepared to give Ljungberg time to stake his claim.

Gooners, is leaving Ancelotti out of the picture a wise decision? Let us know in the comments…
