Arsenal have offered a contract to former Gunner Oguzhan Ozyakup,

That’s according to Turkish media outlet Aksam, who claim the 25 year-old could move to the Emirates this summer.

Gunners boss Arsene Wenger is expected to continue to resume his squad revamp at the end of the season, with Ozyakup now a prime target for his midfield.

Arsenal have spent big in the past two transfer windows on Alexandre Lacazette and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang for a combined £112 million, but Ozyakup would arrive for free with his contract at Besiktas due to expire.

The midfielder was an integral part of Arsenal’s youth set up from 2008-2012 where he lifted the Youth Premier League title and the FA Youth Cup.

However, after failing to make his mark in the first-team, Ozyakup was sold to Besiktas for just £500,000 in 2012.

The report says Arsene Wenger has spoken to the Turkey international about a return to the Emirates and a contract offer is now on the table.
