According to reports, Nacho Monreal has been identified as Real Sociedad’s main priority in the transfer window.

The defender has earned himself a “Mr. Consistent” reputation among Arsenal supporters in recent years.

Unai Emery’s side have already brought in seven players with very few departures from the first team so far.

Jack Wilshere and Santi Cazorla’s contracts expired, while Per Mertesacker retired from football to take charge of the youth team.

Arsenal head coach Unai Emery has suggested that he is happy with his squad amid talk that there will be no further signings this summer.

But the Gunners may have to reconsider should Sociedad lure them into allowing Monreal to leave.

The 32-year-old has been an Arsenal player since 2013 and has won the FA Cup on three occasions and the Community Shield three times.

Gooners, is Monreal still a valuable asset? Let us know in the comments…
