Arsenal have opened talks with Paris Saint-Germain over a possible loan move for Julian Draxler.

The forward has struggled to become a mainstay in the Ligue 1 side following the arrivals of Kylian Mbappe and Neymar this summer.

Draxler has been a long-term target of Arsene Wenger. The Frenchman has missed out on the Germany midfielder at his previous clubs Schalke and Wolfsburg.

The 24 year-old is now suggested to be looking for another club in search of regular football with next summer’s World Cup in mind.

Arsenal are reportedly keen loan deal for the PSG star in January, though the Express claim a number of other clubs have been showing interest in the PSG star.

Draxler has appeared in just seven Ligue 1 games so far this season, with Unai Emre opting to utilise him in a less favoured centre-midfield role in order to accommodate others in the wide areas.

The PSG boss has reportedly told Draxler he is free to leave.
