Arsenal are ready to listen to offers for Danny Welbeck, reports say.

The Englishman reported back fro pre-season this week, but reports suggest Unai Emery is happy to sell the forward.

Welbeck was given an extended break despite playing only 11 minutes for England at the World Cup.

The 27 year-old has scored 15 times in 80 league games since arriving at the Emirates in 2014.

Welbeck has one year remaining on his deal and has attracted interest from Turkish side Besiktas, but his preference is to stay in England.

It’s unlikely the ex-Manchester United star will be fit for the weekend’s season opener. In any case, Welbeck may not even still be an Arsenal player by the time the Gunners entertain Manchester City on Sunday.

Alex Iwobi recently committed his future to the club. Meanwhile, with Alexandre Lacazette and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang now at the club, Welbeck is going to find it hard to force his way into the side over the course of the season.
