Arsenal are currently enjoying their greatest season in over a decade as they look set to compete for Premier League and European glory into the latter end of the campaign.

For some of the team’s top players, the trophy-seeking ambitions will not conclude at the end of the club season as they will play for their national teams in EURO 2024 and Copa America.

Here we will look at the Gunners stars with the greatest chances of winning international silverware this summer.

Declan Rice and the English contingency

Arsenal is a regular producer of England internationals and Declan Rice is the one North London star who is a nailed-on starter for Gareth Southgate.

England will head into the Euros in Germany among the leading favourites to win the competition across most major bookmakers.

Copybet for example offers the Three Lions as 7/2 frontrunners alongside France, and like many reputable odds makers they will offer bonuses such as a free Euro bet alongside their markets on the competition this summer. England’s position as joint-favourites is simply due to the remarkable level of quality that Southgate has at his disposal and Rice is a huge part of that.

For Arsenal this season, he has been a crucial leader who has offered a constant presence in all areas of the pitch – breaking down opposition counter-attacks and directly contributing to the scoresheet are both parts of his game.

Rice could be set to be instrumental to England’s potential major tournament victory, in a familiar fashion to how he has spearheaded his club’s pursuit for major trophies this season. He could even be joined by some fellow Gunner teammates in the English EURO 2024 squad too.

Arsenal’s Brazilian stars

Brazil is another nation that Arsenal could see more than one of their players represent this summer. Gabriel Jesus has been a regular for his country for seven years and it is unlikely that will come to an end in 2024.

Arsenal’s main number nine will probably start somewhere in the Brazilian attack in the upcoming Copa America tournament and he will provide the vital experience of having been a member of the 2019 team that won the competition.

Gabriel Magalhaes on the other hand recently broke into the team in 2023 and seems to have already cemented a regular spot as he played in all the Copa America qualification matches.

Providing both are fit it is foreseeable that both Gabriel’s will be regulars at the tournament in which Brazil will look to reclaim the trophy from fierce rivals Argentina.

For the time being these stars will focus on writing their name into Arsenal’s history although they will have huge national team responsibilities regardless of how the club season culminates.

The fact the club has several players who are frontrunners for international silverware is indicative of the type of team that Mikel Arteta has assembled.

Arsenal have a squad featuring key players who are also a vital part of their national team due to factors like leadership and experience. Their impact could be glorious for the club and their countries in 2024.
