Arsenal are reportedly already lining up options to replace Petr Cech in the summer.

The 36 year-old is set to hang up his gloves at the end of the season after a glittering 16 year stint in the Premier League.

Unai Emery recruited Bernd Leno last summer while David Ospina was allowed to move to Italy on loan for the rest of the season – though the Colombian is expected to leave Arsenal on a permanent basis in the summer.

And with Petr Cech retiring, Arsenal are reportedly preparing a move for Burnley shot-stopper Nick Pope.

The Sun is suggesting that the English goalkeeper would be seen as a replacement for Petr Cech and someone to challenge Leno for the No 1 spot.

Pope, who was included in England’s World Cup squad last year, has been linked with a move away from Burnley after losing his place in the team to Tom Heaton.

The 26-year-old suffered a serious shoulder injury last year, which has affected his form, but Pope remains a solid option for the Gunners due to his Premier League experience.
