Arsenal striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has been linked with a move to Barcelona.
The Gunners are expected to have several elite clubs declare interest in signing their talisman this summer, with Barca leading the line over a potential move.
Aubameyang has just over a year to run on his current deal and would be able to leave the club for free at the end of next season.
Arsenal intend to resign the Gabon international, but their have been persistent attempts from Spain to unsettle the Gunners skipper.
However, Mikel Arteta will be boosted by the fact that according to the Daily Star, Aubameyang is now Barcelona’s second choice.
The Spanish giants are instead fully focused on landing Inter Milan’s Martinez.
The Star say Barcelona tabled an initial bid of around £65m for the striker, however, Inter snubbed the proposal.
The Spanish side are also willing to include Arturo Vidal and Nelson Semedo in a swap deal with the Serie A giants.
