Arsenal have endured a busy summer and their battle hasn’t all been about landing new players, as the Gunners have had to fend off interest in their star-men.

Alexis Sanchez is one of those to have attracted a wealth of interest from within the Premier League and across Europe, with rival sides encouraged to make a move due to the fact that the Chilean has entered the final 12 months of his contract.

Bayern Munich and Paris Saint-Germain have both been attributed with interest but it’s Manchester City who have proved to be the most difficult for Arsenal to fend off, with Alexis’ agent now confirming that the North London side rejected a bid worth £45m earlier this summer.

Fernando Felicevich told Spanish outlet El Mercurio that the bid was rejected and Arsenal have remained adamant they won’t approve a departure. However, with just two weeks left in the window, Alexis’ future is still not fully decided and Arsenal may have to fend-off further advances from Pep Guardiola’s side.
