After further squad strengthening during the summer transfer window and the arrival of a much needed proper striker in the shape of Viktor Gyokeres, it has been a steady start to the domestic and European 2025/26 campaigns for Spanish gaffer Mikel Arteta.

We again sit pretty in second spot in the Premier League table with four wins and a draw from our opening six games and right now we have a division best goal difference, and we also took an opening day Champions League win over Athletic Club and we now see how we fare against Greek side Olympiakos.

We have been busy off the pitch as well though, preparing for the season’s that still remain ahead and ensuring that our top class talented players are contracted up both to secure their services for what we all hope is greater success down the line, but also to put us in the strongest position possible if other suitors come sniffing and think that they can turn their heads for lower fees than anyone would rightly expect us to hold out for. For those fans who use live casino games for mobile for their entertainment choices, they will think these new deals have seen Arsenal hit the jackpot.

On that front, 27 year old Brazilian international centre half Gabriel Magalhaes signed a new long term deal of his own back in June, and this month we moved to secure the long term future of fellow centre half William Saliba, with the 24 year old French international signing a new five year contract of his own amidst talk of interest from Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain.

As we head into the month of October, it is now being reported that we are pushing hard in negotiations to get the future of impressive attacking talent Bukayo Saka tied up for the long term future as well. The 24 year old England international forward is another absolutely key man at the Emirates Stadium, and reports suggest that we are now ready to make him one of our biggest earners and look to fend off interest by tying him down to a similar deal that would take him to around the summer of 2030.

Early indications are that the deal could even be provisionally agreed, with only the finer points left to work out, and that Saka could even sign, and put pen to paper, on the new deal within a matter of a couple of weeks. With the player beginning to move towards the end of his existing contract at the club, and having already spoken publicly about wanting to remain with us in the search for trophies and success, claims that negotiations are already ongoing should not come as a surprise to anyone in the Gunners fanbase, but the fat that we are already getting positives indications on how those talks are going should be a boost to everyone.

New sporting director Andrea Berti has certainly been busy this summer, and having overseen the spending of £300 million in the window, it is great to see we are tying down talents now to contracts that reflect their worth to us as we continue to look ahead to the future.
