Arsenal will carry out talks with Thierry Henry next week regarding the vacant managerial position.

The Gunners legend has always expressed his desire to one day manage Arsenal and according to Sky sources, Henry is a leading candidate.

Henry is Arsenal’s all-time record goalscorer, whilst he holds the fifth highest goal tally in the Premier League.

The Frenchman is reportedly in the running alongside Mikel Arteta – both players are yet to experience management, but are currently assistants.

Who will replace Arsene Wenger as manager?

Arteta has worked in the shadows of Pep Guardiola for the past two years, while Henry has been assistant manager at Belgium since August 2016.

The Gunners reportedly eld talks with Arteta on Thursday about the possibility of taking the position, though other candidates including Henry will be spoken to and assessed.
