On strike Arsenal captain Laurent Koscielny wants to leave the club.

The Gunners are demanding £8.8million to sell Koscielny in the current transfer window.

The 33 year-old who has been an integral member of the Arsenal team since joining in 2010, has made it clear he wants to return to France.

Bordeaux, Rennes and Lyon are all interested in pursuing a deal.

Koscielny has sparked outrage amongst Gunners fans by refusing to travel on their pre-season tour of America as he pushes for a move back to France.

The centre-back faces being stripped of the club captaincy and being made to train with their Under 23s as the club refuse to let him leave on the cheap after failing to agree a new contract.

Standard Sport revealed yesterday ,  no club has tabled a formal bid for the centre-half, who must now wait to see if any of the Ligue 1 sides meet the Gunners’ valuation of €10million.

Koscielny has a year left on his current contract—worth an initial £90,000-a-week—and Arsenal have already rejected a request from the defender to release him from those final 12 months.
