Arsenal set to appoint Unai Emery as new boss

Arsenal are expected to announce the appointment of Unai Emery this week.

The Gunners have been on the hunt for a manager to replace Arsene Wenger for some time.

It had appeared Mikel Arteta was closing in on sealing his first managerial job, however recent reports suggest talks broke down over how much control the Spaniard would have over transfers.

Emery has recently left Paris Saint-Germain after claiming a domestic treble in France this term, but paid the price for Champions League failures during his two seasons in charge.

The 46 year-old enjoyed previous success with Sevilla, winning three successive Europa League titles for the Spanish outfit.

Now the Spaniard is set to be tasked with bringing the good times back to Arsenal.

Reports say the club will hold a press conference to announce their new manager later this week.
