That’s according to reports in Italy, via talkSPORT. The latest claims the Gunners are close to completing a double deal for Sampdoria pair Dennis Praet and Joachim Andersen which could cost them £42million..
It’s been rumoured that after failing to reach the Champions League group stages, Unai Emery has been awarded just £42million to spend this summer.
Emery is still keen to find a replacement for Mesut Ozil, who registered just two Premier League assists last season.
Praet could be a replacement for the German, who has been linked with a move away from the Emirates, while Andersen would tighten up a leaky Arsenal defence.
Praet joined Sampdoria in 2016 and Andersen followed him through the door a year later.

The deal could also spark the end for Shkodran Mustafi, who was heavily criticised for performances last season.
