Arsenal are expected to resume their pursuit of Jean-Micheal Seri this summer.
The Nice midfielder was a reported target last summer, but no official bid was made.
Now according to the Evening Standard, the Gunners are closing in on a deal for the defensive midfielder. Contracts with representatives over a summer move have been made for the 26-year-old who is valued by his club at around £40million.
The Ivorian has made 30 appearances for Nice this term. The French side are set to miss out on European fotoball next season.
Despite Arsenal’s keen interest, Ivory Coast international would favour a move to one of their Premier League rivals Manchester City or Chelsea. City would be able to offer Seri Champions League football and the chance to work under Pep Guardiola, while Chelsea are also said to be a more lucrative option.
Seri could be the perfect dynamic midfielder presence if the Gunners can land him this summer.
