With Alexis Sanchez’s Arsenal future running shorter by the minute, Arsenal need to be looking at players who can fill the talisman’s void.
And if a superstar becomes available, sometimes you just can’t say no.
One player who is set to hit the market next summer is Pierre Emerick Aubameyang. The Borussia Dortmund striker has scored a remarkable 98 goals in 139 games for the club and is arguably one of the best strikers in the world right now.
Arsenal are set to lose out on Alexis Sanchez’s goals and will need to make a statement. Aubameyang, who reportedly came close to a move to Chelsea this summer would be the perfect replacement for the Chilean.
Manchester City are stacked with forwards, while the Blues have spent big on Alvaro Morata. Manchester United meanwhile have Romelu Lukaku, Marcus Rashford and Zlatan Ibrahimovic. It’s also unlikely Tottenham will be able to afford the hitman, which has opened the door for Arsenal to make a move.
Of course Arsene Wenger will be keeping his fingers crossed that both Real Madrid and Barcelona steer clear of the Gabon international.
