Arsenal should cash-in on Sanchez this month.

That’s the view of former Gunner Charlie Nicholas who says it’s obvious Sanchez doesn’t want to be at the Emirates.

The Chilean is nearing the end of his current deal and will be free to leave at the end of the season.

Despite a slow start to the campaign, Sanchez has provided seven league goals so far this season. However, Nicholas says he’d like to see the 29 year-old sold in this window.

Nicholas told Sky Sports“I just want to see [Alexis Sanchez] leave the club now as he clearly doesn’t want to be there and I’d rather see Wenger get what he can for him and find a replacement.”

Speculation is mounting over whether the Chile international will depart north London this month, with his preferred destination being high-flying Manchester City.

Sanchez has been in good form for Arsenal of late and although selling him is financially viable in the short-term, it could see Arsenal miss out on Champions League football next season.

The forward has netted 60 Premier League goals in 120 appearances for Arsenal.
