Arsenal are reportedly chasing Boca Juniors forward Cristian Pavon amid restructuring process.

The Argentina international is highly rated in South America, having featured at the World Cup in Russia.

Arsenal are set for a restructuring in their recruitment process following the departure of Ivan Gazidis. It could see a change in transfer budget going forward.

22 year-old Pavon was linked with a move to the Emirates this summer. The forward who scored 6 and conceded 11 in 2017/18 ultimately penned a new contract with Boca, increasing his buyout clause to £37.5m in the process.

Gunners boss Unai Emery failed to add a forward to his squad this past summer, but the Spaniard already has Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Alexandre Lacazette at his disposal.

Still, Boca are keen to hold on to their prized asset and are suggested to be looking for £44m to part with Pavon – though the club have recently confirmed the player does hold a release clause.
