Reported Arsenal target Steven N’zonzi has handed in a formal transfer request.
That’s according to the Mail, who claim the Sevilla midfielder is looking to push through a move to Arsenal.
N’zonzi, previously of Stoke City, has been a longtime transfer link with the Gunners.
The France international was a target for Everton last season, but is keen to move to London to be with his young family and also link up with his former coach Unai Emery.
After being dropped from the Sevilla team last season, N’zonzi fought his way back into the Sevilla squad under new boss Pablo Machin.
The midfielder has flourished during his time in La Liga, with his upturn in form earning him a call up to France national team.
The former Blackburn Rovers star is currently on international duty representing Le Blues at the Word Cup in Russia. France meet Uruguay in the quarter-finals on Friday.
