According to reports, Arsenal are plotting a move for highly-rated Atlanta United forward Miguel Almiron.

The 24-year-old has found the net 12 times this season for the side sitting top of the MLS Eastern Conference.

Arsenal have not struggled to find the net so far this season – their tally of 19 goals is the second highest after league leaders Manchester City (21).

However, The Mirror claim boss Unai Emery is still keen to strengthen his forward line and is at the front of the queue to nab Almiron.

The forward, who is expected to return for the play-offs after picking up an injury in Saturday’s 2-1 victory over New England Revolution, has also expressed his desire to move to the Premier League.

“My objective has always been to go to Europe,” he said. “I like the Premier League and I think they play a beautiful and competitive style of soccer.

Gooners, where do Arsenal need to strengthen most? Let us know in the comments…
