Arsenal look set to miss out on bringing Denis Suarez to the Emirates this January after reports have emerged that the midfielder is set to stay in Barcelona.
Suarez has been linked with Arsenal for some time, but no deal has materialised.
Unai Emery’s side appear to have been trying to piece together an initial loan with an option to buy deal.
But, in a huge twist this evening, it is now being claimed that the deal to take Suarez to the Emirates has definitively collapsed.
According to the reliable Edu Polo of Mundo Deportivo, negotiations between Arsenal and Barcelona have completely broken down.
As such, Suarez is said to have informed Barca boss Ernesto Valverde that he will not be departing the club this month:

Suarez has seen a considerable drop off in game time with Ernesto Valverde having afforded the Spanish midfielder just 4 league starts so far.
