Arsenal are preparing to spend the cash from Alexis Sanchez’ potential departure this summer on Porto striker Andre Silva, CalcioMercato reports.

The 21-year-old has excelled with the Portuguese giants this season and has already netted 20 goals across all competitions this term, attracting a host of European sides to his services.

Porto will find it difficult to keep hold of the young forward but are reportedly demanding a massive £52m for his services, a figure which would see Arsenal eclipse their club-record fee of £42.5m spent on Mesut Ozil in 2013.

However, Arsenal are keen to bolster their attacking ranks this summer and the uncertainty surrounding Alexis Sanchez’ future may lead to a sale- and that should hand the Gunners a massive boost in funds to spend in the market.

The North London outfit will face a challenge to land Silva’s services though as Juventus are reportedly keen on the youngster, whilst he’s also apparently been suggested to Real Madrid by compatriot Cristiano Ronaldo.
