The agent of Ever Banega has arrived in London to negotiate personal terms with Arsenal.
The central-midfielder has been heavily linked with a move to the Emirates as the Gunners continue to bolster their midfield options ahead of the new season.
Banega could be set to arrive alongside Sampdoria’s Lucas Torreira, who is close to joining in a £26 million deal.
And according to Gazzetta dello Sport (via Metro Sport), Banega’s agent Marcelo Simonian has travelled to London and will hold talks with Arsenal’s hierarchy on Thursday evening.
Banega is currently representing Argentina at the World Cup in Russia. The midfielder who appeared 31 times for Sevilla last season could be heading home earlier than expected with Argentina taking just one point from their opening two group games.
He was an unused substitute as the South American nation lost 3-0 to Croatia.
