Arsenal youngster Reiss Nelson impressed on loan at Hoffenheim last season and will be hoping to be in Unai Emery’s first-team plans.
Nelson, 19, made 25 appearance for the German side and netted seven times, alerting other Bundesliga clubs over another loan.
The Gunners are currently trying to work a deal for Wilfried Zaha, but Crystal Palace are playing hard ball and seemingly unwilling to compromise on their £80m valuation.
Simon Collings [Standard Sport]: It is thought #AFC would consider allowing one of their promising young players, such as Reiss Nelson, to move to #CPFC on loan.
If Palace are to sell, it is believed their preference would be to replace Zaha permanently – not with loan signings.— Arsènic™ (@MrArsenicTM) July 23, 2019
Nelson had also been reportedly offered to The Eagles as part of the deal for the Ivorian, but the approach was rejected by the south London club.
Meanwhile, The Sun say Nelson is being targeted for a return to German with Hertha Berlin. The Bundesliga outfit want to bolster their attack for the new season and want the England Under-21 international on a season-long loan.
Thoughts, Gooners? Should Nelson be loaned once again? Let us know in the comments…
