Unai Emery could have Mesut Ozil and Sead Kolasinac back in contention ahead of the Gunners first home game of the season against Burnley.

Following the attempted armed robbery at the end of last month, Ozil and Kolasinac both missed the opening weekend 1-0 win at Newcastle due to further security threats.

The pair have been back in training this week, but after an encouraging start Emery may elect to stick with Nacho Monreal at left-back and Joe Willock in the middle of the park.

Veteran David Luiz, the £8million deadline day addition from Chelsea, could make his debut, while Nicolas Pepe is expected to be given a start against the Clarets.

Should Nicolas Pepe start from the off on Saturday?

Granit Xhaka is suffering bruising to his back and leg. The Swiss international has proven himself more than willing to play through injury, but the Spaniard does have back up in Lucas Torreira.

Sean Dyche’s Burnley will be aiming to continue their good start, having swept aside Southampton 3-0 at Turf Moor.

Kick off: Saturday 12:30.
