Arsenal v Rennes

Arsenal are currently 4th in the Premier League

Unai Emery has Alexandre Lacazette available for Thursday’s crunch match with Rennes.

The French team have taken a 3-1 lead to the Emirates in their last 32 Europa League tie.

But striker Lacazette will be eligible after his three-match ban was reduced to two on appeal.

Arsenal had looked in good stead to reach the quarter-final stage, but with the Gunners 1-0 up in France, Sokratis saw red and Unai Emery’s side have it all to do.

Midfielder Lucas Torreira returns from a domestic ban, while Mesut Ozil could also start after impressing against Manchester United on the weekend.

Arsenal will fancy their chances. They overturned a 1-0 deficit to BATE Borisov in the last round, winning 3-0 at home. And Emery’s side are in buoyant spirits having stopped Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s Man Utd.

A good start is critical for Emery’s side.
