According to reports, Arsenal tried to sell Mesut Ozil last month, but were nobody was prepared to match his wage demands.
Ozil signed a new three-and-a-half year deal with the Gunners 12 months ago, but the midfielder has only played around 40% of matches since.
The German, who was left out of Unai Emery’s latest side, had been offered to Juventus in January.
However, Calciomercato report, the Old Lady refused to pay such huge figures back in November.
Instead, the Italian champions have turned to Aaron Ramsey, who today announced he has signed a pre-contract agreement and will leave North London on a free in the summer.
Ozil missed Arsenal’s clash with Huddersfield due to illness, which is the seventh time he has been ill since the start of 2017.
It’s likely the Gunners will attempt to offload him once more when the summer transfer window opens.
The midfielder has three goals and one assists so far this season.
