Arsenal’s trip to Brighton will go ahead as planned despite Gunners stars currently being in quarantine over coronavirus fears.
The Gunners saw their clash at Manchester City scrapped in the early hours of Wednesday morning.
This postponement was due to several players and staff coming into contact with Olympiacos owner Evangelos Marinakis, who has tested positive for the virus after visiting the Emirates.
A number of Arsenal players and staff will remain at their homes until the 14-day period is completed and so are set to return to training on Friday.
Coronavirus outbreak postponed Arsenal’s clash with Man City
The Seagulls said in a statement: “Arsenal’s match at Manchester City, due to take place at the Etihad Stadium tonight, has been postponed after a number of Gunners players have self isolated as a precaution with regard to the coronavirus.
“The risk is considered extremely low and Saturday’s match remains scheduled to go ahead with the self-isolation period for those players ending tomorrow, as we continue to follow government and medical advice with regard to the coronavirus.
Arsenal are currently eight points adrift of Chelsea in fourth. As things stand, fifth place Manchester United would earn a Champions League spot and Arsenal are five behind Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side.
