As we get ready for the start of a new season, every fan wants to know their team’s chances of winning the league. Arsenal’s triumphant 2025-26 season was the first title for the Gunners since 2003-04’s unforgettable Invincibles victory, so what are the chances of them doing it again this season? The latest odds from DraftKings give us an idea, although there are sure to be changes along the way.

The Summer Transfers

Many of the latest odds listed online put Arsenal as favourites to the title again, ahead of Manchester City, Liverpool, and Manchester United. To understand whether this is reasonable, we need to look at how the summer has panned out for Arsenal and their main rivals in the transfer market.

The incoming players include Piero Hincapie, who has now signed permanently from Bayer Leverkusen to ensure a strong sense of continuity at the back after a successful loan period in London last season. Christos Tzolis from Club Brugge is another new signing, with this FotMob analysis pointing out that the Greek winger adds directness and link-up play to their play.

Among the leading title rivals, Chelsea have arguably had the strongest window to date, bringing in marquee signings such as Morgan Roger, Maxence Lacroix, and Geovany Quenda. As always, it’s difficult to assess the possible impact of new signings until the action begins in earnest. For the moment, Arsenal’s steady approach to squad-building means that a familiar-looking squad should start the season.

The Opening Games and Odds

Fans looking to bet online can check out the DraftKings offers this month. These deals give new users bonus bets once they make their first deposit and wager it. Sports like American football, basketball, and baseball are all covered here, but bettors can also look for the latest Arsenal odds for upcoming games as well as the full season.

Arsenal will take part in the opening EPL fixture on the 21st of August. This is when Coventry City visit the Emirates Stadium to kick off the new season. Arsenal are strong favourites to win this game against the newly promoted Sky Blues, at about 1/7 at the time of writing.

After that, the Gunners visit Villa Park to play Aston Villa on 31 August. The first massive test of the season arrives on the 6th of September, when Chelsea visit Emirates Stadium. Arsenal are currently classed as favourites for this game, although no official odds are yet available.

At the moment, bettors can get odds of around 6/4 on Arsenal winning a second successive EPL title. Behind the Gunners, Manchester City sits at around 11/4, followed by Liverpool at 5/1. Manchester United and Chelsea are both at around 7/1 or 8/1. Of course, those odds are likely to change as major transfers are announced, and then we see the first few results of the season.

By looking ahead to 2026/27, we can see that Arsenal are favourites to retain their title. However, there are sure to be plenty of twists and turns to come that affect the odds, starting with the remaining deals to be completed in the transfer window. If the suggested transfer of Vinicius Junior from Real Madrid occurs, that is one example of something that will directly affect the odds.
