Arsenal’s Europa League date with Vorskla Poltava is still in doubt, but UEFA insist they are “working to ensure” the game goes ahead.

The Europa League game has been moved from Poltava to Kiev following a state of political unrest in Ukraine.

The venue is around 185 miles east of the Ukrainian capital – after martial law was declared in some regions of the country.

On Wednesday Vorskla vice-president Oleg Lisak said there was no guarantee the Ukrainians would play. Meanwhile, martial law in several regions of Ukraine means travelling to and from the stadium could prove difficult for players, fans and staff.

Arsenal are currently three points clear at the top of Group E and have qualified for the knockout rounds, but are yet to secure top spot with Sporting Lisbon currently in second, who will be hoping the Gunners win on Thursday to secure their own path to the last 32.
