Arsene Wenger feels Arsenal are making a mistake in losing Aaron Ramsey this summer.

The midfielder has completed a free transfer switch to join the Juventus on a lucrative contract for next season, when he will end an 11-year spell in north London.

Ramsey and the club were close to agreeing a new contract for the midfielder back in September, however Arsenal pulled out of the negotiation table due to the Welshman’s contract demands.

Wenger, who managed Ramsey for 10 years is clearly disappointed to see him leave.

“It will be a loss for Arsenal,” said Wenger when speaking at the Laureus Sport for Good presentation on Sunday (via Mirror).

Ramsey has scored two FA Cup winning goals

“I must say it will be an interesting move for Ramsey.

“He is a player who is great going forward. His main quality is he can keep the final ball and he makes interesting runs from deep.

“You don’t find many players today who can make midfield runs off the ball. It will be an interesting addition for Juventus .”

Ramsey has spoken out about leaving Arsenal and says he is committed to giving his all until he leaves in June.

How much of a loss will Rmasey be, Gooners? Let us know in the comments…
