Arsenal legend Arsene Wenger looks poised to accept a new position at FIFA.

The former Gunners boss has been out of work since calling time on his 22-year stint at Arsenal at the end of the 2017/18 season.

Wenger, 69, is keen to return to management but ESPN report he will accept a role at Fifa as he waits for a suitable offer.

The Frenchman wants another project to sink his teeth into and his priority remains a return to coaching.

Wenger, who is Arsenal’s most successful manager reportedly has a host of clubs interested in appointing him as their manager.

He is also open to taking over a national side. The France position is currently unavailable with Didier Deschamps overseeing a World Cup-winning side.

Deschamps contract expires in 2020, but is expected to be offered a new deal given the success of the team under his guidance.

Wenger’s technical position at Fifa is yet to be confirmed, but it is certain his expertise will be of benefit.

Since leaving Arsenal, the three-time Premier League winner has mainly been working as a pundit.
